‘
Generation Z’ is a Community Art Project that explores the face of youth in Werrington, Western Sydney. Teenagers from Werrington Youth Centre have been creating a series of photographic portraits of their peers from the area. This series of images will be curated into a site-specific paste up art exhibition displayed at Werrington Train Station.
The ‘Paste-Up’ is an ever-expanding and innovative from of street art, that involves an artist making their work onto varying sizes of paper. In the end it is all about a medium where young people can express themselves. It will empower youth to play a role in helping make Werrington a more vital, meaningful and nurturing place to live in.
This project is funded as part of Penrith City Council’s Magnetic Places Neighbourhood Renewal Community Cultural Grant Program and supported by Rail Corp.
