Summer Rain, NYC
Michael Wilson

mobile
I stood in the pouring rain on a Manhattan intersection for about half an hour waiting for the elements in this photo to come together – a heavy flow of steam from the vents to coincide with traffic at the opposite side of the street for backlight and contrast and an interesting figure to cross the street. I waited and waited, then the woman with the bright red umbrella came across the road – I knew I had the shot. Time to get inside.
