Streetscapes. Streetshapes?
Streetshapes is a window (pun intended) into my vision of the built environment.
I’m always aware of what’s around me, and when I try to translate that into photographs, my camera is drawn to strong blocks of colour, patterns, and bold shapes. Street shapes that I want you to discover with me.
Enjoy the journey.
Carol Muller trained in photography in the early 80s, and during lockdown, after a 40-year pause, she returned to her practice.
Her work is predominantly architectural, exploring line, pattern, colour and shadow. Muller explains, “I try to look up, move closer, observe patterns, to not only see what others see but to engage my perspective. Often seeing the same thing in different places and subjects.”
Exhibiting her work at Sydney Contemporary over the last two years, she is a 2023 Open Exhibitor for Head On Photo Festival.
