PHOTO SENSITIVE explores the potential healing and transformative power that photography, particularly mobile photography, can have in the battle against anxiety and depression.

Following on from the success of her first exhibition, Naomi Doyle (aka Patches McGee) further explores the role ‘phoneography’ has played in her recovery in the wake of personal tragedy. Through the cameras lens, she found a way to stay focused on the present and re-engage with the beauty in the world around her.

Marnie Abbot (aka marn_ster) has similarly found mindfulness and meaning in capturing the intricate details of urban decay. She experiences distraction from dysfunction and anxiety through the very process of her photography and comraderie through sharing it.

The pairs combined body of work is rich with colour and urban textures, taking in scenes and details from everyday life that may otherwise have passed them by if not for the devices in their hands.

This exhibition is dedicated to the memory of friends lost to suicide. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to Suicide Prevention Australia.
