Created in-camera, this exhibition explores the interplay between parallel beams of coloured light and the female form. By presenting the body as simple lines of colour, it is hoped that the viewer will appreciate the female form as a work of beauty without sexual connotations.
Christopher Meredith is a self-taught Sydney-based photo artist. Previous exhibitions include “Mermaids” (Gallery Rochfort, North Sydney and Bathers Pavilion Gallery, Mosman), “3+1” (Gallery One88, Katoomba), “Natural Curves” (Hub Sydney) and “H20” (Hub Sydney).
Meredith shoots in studio, underwater and on location to achieve the working images of his models. Although the images for “Peaches and Cream” were created in-camera, Meredith’s images are more often combined with abstract natural patterns taken from rocks, leaves or waves.
Meredith is a winner of the “Nudes on TAP” photography prize.
