The Men’s Shed photography project aims to raise awareness for men’s health. This exhibition of Craig Wetjen’s photographs and the stories of men and their sheds—published in a unique, heirloom form—aims to showcase the very private relationship between a man and his shed.
Stultified by a culture of not expressing emotion and not taking an active interest in their own health and wellbeing, The Men’s Shed photography project will raise awareness about men’s health. Community involvement gives an opportunity for men to be involved in something meaningful and make a positive contribution to their community whilst providing a safe, friendly and inclusive environment to gather and work on meaningful projects in the company of other males.
With an $80,000 prize pool, it represents a global selection of the best work from emerging and established photographers.
