‘The memory of photographs’ is about memory as it is realised ‘in’ particular photos. It also explores the ubiquity of photographic memorialisation in genres where this is usually overlooked (such as landscapes). Incidentally, perhaps, it asks how digital reproduction facilitates memory and maybe undermines how we value the pasts we have recorded.
