A month after testing positive for COVID-19, my 12-year-old daughter, Iris, developed long COVID-19 in February 2022. She became very sick, suffering debilitating symptoms, including fatigue, nausea, migraine and neuropathic pains. She could barely walk. She missed friends, she missed school, she missed running, she missed life. It was months before there was an improvement, which came thanks to cold water therapy.

This series aims to raise awareness and show what an invisible disease looks like. To this day, there is no cure for long covid. Iris has not fully recovered yet. Every day is a challenge.
