Shibusa is all about peace and calm.

The images are quiet and contemplative but at the same time give us freshness and exuberance.

Underlying this series is the notion of ‘shibui’ which implies simple processes, casual nonchalance, and an absence of effort.

This is far from the truth because, in reality, each photo is meticulously styled, dynamically balanced, and rigorously colour graded.

Shibusa combines a strong, robust, classical sentiment with delicate, finely detailed elegance.
