On the new moon in Summer and the full moon in Winter,  Clovelly Bay, momentarily. slips into the ocean.

Each year it disappears a little longer.  One day it will be gone forever.

As the icecaps melt and the oceans rise, our islands, beaches and coastal communities are, slowly, going under.

The Drowning Bay, seeks to show the oceans of climate change here now, among us, on Sydney’s eastern beaches, bays and ocean baths, not just out there in the far distant land of the future.

I shoot climate change – raw  – then process the images to highlight the luminance of a watercolour.

Over four years, both day and night, I have set out to document the sometimes fierce swell, sometimes serenity of the swollen seas engulfing our coastline.
