As an aerobatic pilot for the past 20 years, Toddy Kennedy often enjoys the patterns and sights of the landscape from above. Kennedy now shares what he has been seeing all these years by using a drone in a fully vertical point-of-view called top-down. His images capture the strong geometric patterns found on the earth’s surface. The hunt for the perfect aerial shot has motivated Kennedy to travel to Western Australia, the eastern Australian seaboard, and large parts of remote New South Wales.A selection of Kennedy’s images have been published in National Geographic, Time, Der Speigel, New York Times, Shutterbug, The Australian, and The Sydney Morning Herald.
