Below is the marine life that lies beneath, never seen by most and often critically endangered. They have been here for millions of years, long before humans started destroying this world. These experiences are what it truly feels like below the surface: the divide between worlds.
I want you to truly understand that your actions, no matter how small, will impact the blue heart of this planet. Everything you see here is shot in a single breath, with no air, no tanks, and only a 30 to 90-second window before the burn in my lungs pulls me back to the surface. There is no automatic flash or lighting, just a handheld dive torch to minimise impact and disturbance.
This is a plea to you from those without a voice. Your actions determine their future.
I’m looking for the perfect balance of light and composition. Those small moments in life where we feel perfectly connected to nature. Whether it be in a single-breath dive, the morning light bouncing off the ocean surface or the darkness that comes before the moon. There is so much beauty that it’s impossible not to notice, endlessly searching for those moments of natural interactions. I’m drawn not only to capture them but to experience them. These are a collection of those moments.
