Award-winning Melbourne based German photographer Tobias Titz has collaborated with Martumili Artists from Western Australia to create a unique body of work.

Tobias traveled to the remote community of Parngurr in the Great Sandy Desert where Martumili Artists shared the image-making process by scratching images of their country in the wet emulsion of the Polaroid film.

Tobias Titz’s Scratch project has both an aesthetic and an ethical dimension and it shows a new approach on artistic collaboration between the German artist and the Martumili Artists from Western Australia.
