Surviving spirit
Todd Kennedy

landscape
Set adrift on memory’s bliss, this creek near Lithgow was once the picture-perfect scene of idyllic forest life. What starts as yearning soon becomes corroded into the tragedy and dread and the dawn of a new frightening reality as eyes both physically and metaphorically open. Everywhere you look, everything is completely and utterly burnt. Then it rains and begins to flood. In consolation, there is hope for the future as the landscape and people regenerate.
