“This image is a part of a series which explores the spaces that are destined to become new suburbs in the outer areas of Canberra. I was fascinated to notice after 7 years away the amount of new urban growth that had appeared in the town where I grew up.

During early winter mornings often clouded in a thick fog and in freezing temperatures, the silence and eeriness of these sites bestow an ethereal sense, which is at odds with the reality of what these places will become sometime in the future.
