Mist over the Three Sisters
Simon Harsent

landscape
In the Blue Mountains of NSW, the Three Sisters are a rock formation that is sacred to the Gundungurra people. According to Aboriginal legend, the unusual rock formation represents three sisters turned to stone by their father, a witch doctor, to protect them from a dangerous Bunyip. The Aboriginal dream-time legend names the three sisters as Meehni, Wimlah and Gunnedoo. Here they are seen through the mist.
