Following in my parents’ footsteps who lived there in the 50s, I document Hong Kong’s historically significant areas unlikely to survive burgeoning new development wrought over many years. Lei Yue Mun is actually a combination of four squatter villages, some of the rare examples still left in Hong Kong of this style of rural living.
