Sony is our major partner for this year’s Head On Photo Festival and has a couple of great workshops lined up for you in our fantastic program.

On Saturday 20 November, from 2-3pm (Sydney AEDT, UTC +11), at Paddington Reservoir Gardens, professional sports photographer Andy Cheung will be running a workshop Light and shadow in sports photography. Andy has covered numerous major sporting events in Australia and internationally, including the Australian Open and the French Open tennis championships. This workshop is a must for sports photography enthusiasts!

On Monday 22 November from 8-9pm (Sydney AEDT, UTC +11), photographer James Day will be running an online workshop on The art of wedding photography.  James has been photographing weddings for over 18 years, both at home and abroad, and brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to this workshop to unpack the various photographic genres that come together to create great wedding photography.  This is an unmissable workshop for anyone with an interest in pursuing wedding photography as a career.
