My current series of work — capturing urban landscapes — has focused my attention on the easy with which we walk away from once vital elements of our environment and allow things to fall apart.
We shape our world to meet our desires, but as desire fades so too does the significance of the buildings, landscapes, tools and toys we have constructed. As we move through our environment day-to-day, we fail to stop and take in what is around us. When we eventually do, what we see is alien to us. Capturing these spaces helps us remember where we have come from.
