The Vallone dei Mulini is nestled in the busy tourist town of Sorrento in southern Italy. The old mills were abandoned in the 1940’s and then isolated after the construction of the wall and road to the port cut the valley in 2. As a result, a microclimate formed with high humidity levels and this led to a rapid growth of vegetation over the entire valley.
