I took this photograph whilst travelling in Northern California, USA towards Lassen Volcanic National Park during the winter season. I spotted the silent water fountain from the highway. The caravan park was closed for the winter season and it was deserted, there was no one to be found, except a silent water fountain, which continued to spray upwards through the frozen icicle that had surrounded it, creating the frozen statue in the photograph. I found the frozen statue unique in shape and formation, due to the direction of the wind, which caused the frozen statue to form differently from one side to the other. I also liked the way the sun shone through the silent water fountain, creating a light blue natural color reflection from the water particles.
