Sideways Glance 1
By Michael Pugh
This was the namesake image in Michael Pugh’s Sideways Glances exhibition and came about on a beautiful autumn day only as far away as his back garden! The Sideways Glances series led to a second successful exhibition called Second Glance. Both exhibitions explored using camera displacement or subject movement as an expression of composition. Sometimes fleeting, sometimes requiring certain light qualities, and often taking advantage of using the journey time in getting from A to B, there is a distinct character to all the pictures.
Light appears to be shaken and stirred, leaving the viewer with a sideways glance of virtually any subject that has caught Michael Pugh’s eye. www.michaelpughphotography.com.au
