Dunns Swamp, or Ganguddy as it is known to local Wiradjuri Aboriginal people, is a beautiful, serene waterway on the Cudgegong river in the Wollemi National Park, NSW, part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.

During a late afternoon bushwalk amid woodlands of scribbly gum, I noticed this shadow tree formed against the striking pagoda rock formations that populate the park. The lush green of the moss is split by the tree to contrast with ancient layers of rock.
