Traveling through Antarctica in January 2013 was a truly inspiring experience…the whole landscape was simply awesome and majestic. It is a white and blue wonderland – a timeless landscape in which you felt ageless. We were also incredibly lucky to experience the landscape with clear blue skies and good weather which lit up the wholet environment – the white landscape benefiting from being bathed in light. This shot taken along the Gerlache Strait filled with sea ice breaking up and smooth snow sitting atop jagged mountains was a stunning and awe-inspiring sight. The sheer expanse. At some points it was hard to tell when the sky ended and where the ocean began. The ultimate sense of space in the white continent.
