Near Greyton

This is one of a series of pictures I took on a road trip a year or so ago — a series I have called “Country Roads”. I was interested in capturing the countryside from angles that showed satisfying abstract patterns. I became aware of the contribution roads can make to beauty in a landscape, not only because of the way they carve it into interesting shapes but because they can have an expressive quality in themselves.
