This was taken using medium format film on a mamiya 6×7 with cropping and minor adjustments done in Photoshop. This photo was shot on my family farm in Muswellbrook on an early morning. The farm, which has been in my family for over 60 years, is being sold because of pressure from nearby open pit mines and I felt that it needed to be documented in some way. The photos I ended up with followed a theme of mortality and abandonment, as destruction is being preferred to living in the area as mining continues to expand.
