This photo is of the canal in Federal Park, Glebe and shows a sunken umbrella in the foreground and above the old grafitti reflected from the now being redeveloped Harold Park. It instantly reminded me of Magritte’s umbrella series and his often unrevealed faces which purportedly were a reference to his mother’s death by drowning.
