Lake Mountain

Lake Mountain, a cross-country ski resort in central Victoria. Where dreams of fresh white snow come true – at least in winter. If it doesn’t fall out of the sky, it shoots out of pipes as hard little pieces. A perfectly controlled, man made winter paradise for nearby city dwellers.
Taken from an ongoing body of work aiming at investigating the shifting borders between wilderness and man-made environment, this image explores a notion of human control over the untamed.
