In the backwaters of Kerala, in southern India, people live on thin strips of land surrounded by water. The water is their life, they travel on it, they swim in it, they fish in it,
they wash in it. I was drawn to this image by the colour and reflections of the evidence of domestic life but also by the precariousness of life at odds with the serene beauty of the landscape.
