Today’s world is one of overwhelming visual chaos and juxtaposition. However a nostalgia for an idealised past, now crumbling, demonstrates that beauty can be found even in the most alienating environments. The true beauty of a city lies in the remnants of the past, the cracks in the concrete, the puddles after a storm, impermanence captured; a reminder that this will one day pass, all that is new will become old once more. The true artist is the hand of time.
