Every year hundreds of Australian actors migrate to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams.
The opportunity for fame and fortune is great but the realities of life in tinsel town are often far from the glamour and riches we see on our television screens. In an industry where an estimated 80% of actors are out of work at any one time, the veneer of this promised land wears painfully thin.
What seems like a pretty picture becomes just that – a façade, a souvenir, a mask of vacancy.
