Fraud Blocker

Chisselled into sun-bleached rock cliff, the empty Buddha niches overlook the green valley in Bamiyan, Afghanistan. The giant Buddha statues, towering 55 and 35 meters and carved out of steep cliffs between the fifth and sixth century, were dynamitted by the Taliban in 2001 because they were considered un-Islamic. Although the Buddhas gone but the valley looked beautiful and it evoked a sense of sublime to me in my 2010 trip to Afghanistan. Afghanistan has beautiful landscape and scenenary that because of ongoing conflict, the beauty emerges very little. I wanted to show in this picture its another hidden part of that beautiful country.
