The Great Yotei Mountain off Hirafu

An land scape image over looking Mount Yotei, from Hirafu, Hokkaido, Japan. The image was captured in the same style of the famous “The Great Wave off Kanagawa”. In respective of size and scale a representation, juxtaposing the large mountain and small hut. It is also an opposite contrast to the famous painting, where the image is rather calm and painting is more threatening. The colours was toned in such it was similar to Japanese wood block print (Aizuri-e)’s which uses predominantly blue as a colour (given’s location and subject).
