This is a shot I took a few years ago up in the Snowy Mountains.
It was taken at dawn in late March and you could really feel the change of seasons taking place.
It had been very hot the day before but a cold front was predicted for first thing in the morning so I set off in the dark and got a position waiting for the sun to rise. As it did, the wind was swirling with the cold front moving through, pushing the last bit of summer north.
As the light grew stronger the lower level clouds lit up for about 10 mins creating a golden glow over the landscape.
