This image was taken late one afternoon whilst descending from the Eaglereach resort just near Vance in the Hunter Valley. The shutter speed was deliberately slowed to get the painted impression of the gums highlighted by the setting sun with the surrounding area in shadow. The effect being created in camera and not in PS. The positioning of the trees was important in the composition with the nearest tree in the centre of the image and the side trees deeper in the frame.
