Many things had to come together for this image. The season had to be right so the rising sun remained hidden behind the cliff. The week had to be right to ensure a good amount of water going over the falls. The day had to be right for the best light. I had to use a tilt lens to achieve the necessary depth of field, and an ND grad filter to avoid blowing out the sky. Then I had to tie myself and the camera to a tree.
