This aerial image was taken from high above Hill Inlet on the beautiful Whitehaven Beach. The title Crystal was given to it because of the reflection of the midday sun light through the shallow waters of this piece of paradise.
The 95% silica content in the sand reflects the stark light to highlight the different water depths and the almost paint brush stroke pattern on the calm blue waters. The Marine Parks protection of this area insures the mangroves will continue to flourish to protect this area for generations to come.
