World Press Photo 2010

World Press Photo is the world’s most prestigious annual exhibition of photojournalism.
The 53rd annual exhibition showcases the world’s best press photos of 2009 selected from 101,960 entries from 5,847 professional photographers from 128 countries.
The international jury awarded prizes to 62 photographers, including three Australians: Adam Ferguson, VII Mentor Program, The New York Times; Craig Golding, Getty Images; and Justin McManus, The Age.
The prestigious World Press Photo of the Year was awarded to Italian photographer, Pietro Masturzo for his picture of women shouting in protest from a rooftop in Tehran following the disputed ellections in Iran.
