TIBET’S TIMELESS TANTRIC TRADITION
A PHOTOGRAPHIC STUDY OF GYUTO MONASTERY IN EXILE

Developed over the past year at the Gyuto monastery in the foothills of the Northern Indian Mountains, Tobi captures

the essence of the Gyuto community as both ordinary men and highly realised monks.

As westerners we tend to get lost in the images of robes and prayers forgetting that the Gyuto Monks live the same

daily routines as most of us do. The exhibition reminds us of the simplicity of their lives and the joy that they bring to

everyday tasks which is in stark contrast to the conditions they live in and the complex situation they find themselves

in as refugees from their homeland.
