My life story has been one of being stuck, hybridized and torn between different cultures, professions and identities. Between different ways of sensing, knowing and being. I think I am not alone and that dealing with multiplicity and being hybrid is a feature of contemporary life. This series is a reflection on how multiplicity of pressures and identities is transforming us and turning us all into schizoids.

The core of my photographic work has been still-life compositions and installations. In my work I aim to bring to the fore the deeper features of modern/industrial, natural, and human elements, by moving them out of their comfort zone, and by engaging them in a dialectic tension. I see my work as political but in an existential sense. It is about the deeper transformations of our humanity and our dealings with nature. My ambition for taking photos is to provoke a passionate relation not (only) with my audience’s consciousness, but hopefully with the dragons and fairies lingering in the deeper recesses of their beings.
