After being admitted to hospital with spreading paralysis in July 2014, Jay Knight spent the following nine months in medical facilities recovering from Guillain-Barré syndrome.
Jay spent the first four months in hospitals — until he had enough strength to breathe by himself. From hospital he moved to the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre to continue his recovery.
Rebuilding Jay Knight is a photo essay covering the final eight weeks of Jay’s journey home, detailing his physical limitations, daily therapy sessions, life at the centre, and unwavering support from his partner, Jo.
