The project “Reaction” investigates the response of various participants as they listen to the sounds of Christian, Jewish and Muslim prayers. The act was conducted in the heart of Jerusalem, a place which compose the essence of inter-religious existence.
The outcome is a series of vertical “video portraits” preforming identical soundtrack, depicting the various recipient’s reactions. The complete portrait composition enhances the gap between each of the subject matter’s body language and their relations with the various played audios.
The ethnic and religious background of the participants: Jews, Christians, Muslims or people of mixed religious background, is not accessible to the viewers and thus allow a wide range of interpretations.
