An artistic documentary treatment of the feather and growth progression of a Rainbow Lorikeet, photographed from 10 days old through to 10 weeks.
Angela Robertson-Buchanan is an award winning photographer and dedicated wildlife rescuer specialising in birds. Her artistic series documents the feather and growth development of her wild rescued Rainbow Lorikeet “Bonnie” who she raised from 10 days old through to her release at 10 weeks.
The idea behind this exhibition was to almost have a ‘flip book’ effect. A collection of combined pictures intended to be flipped over in a book to give the illusion of movement and create an animated sequence.
Angela is passionate about conservation and works closely with zoos and wildlife organisations. Last year she was a finalist in the prestigious Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the year competition.
