Phone Works is a series of new mobile phone photographs by Sarah Barker, Joint Winner of Tap Gallery’s 2013 Out of my Pocket mobile phone competition and winner of its People’s Choice Award.  One of her mobile phone photo portraits is a finalist in the 2014 DUO Magazine Percival Photographic Portrait Prize.

“After smashing my digital SLR camera to pieces on the polished concrete floor of a hipster cafe in Surry Hills (karma?), the only other camera available was my mobile phone. It wasn’t long before it became my camera of choice.  Within its parameters, I capture the simple beauty of everyday life.  This is what I see.”
