This is The Ludlites 15th Group Exhibition and explores ‘Space’ in a number of new and fascinating ways.
Using photographic film and plastic lens or pinhole cameras our 15 members have been given a free brief and have come up with some unusual solutions.
One feature of these cameras is the ability to make multiple exposures on one frame of film and this can be controlled or at random so images containing Science Fiction and Outer Space feature. Members of the collective have also addressed Agoriphobia, Aquaphobia, overcrowding and other matters.
This year some of The Ludlites have based work on our support for ‘Headspace’ which provides youth mental health services for Australians aged 12-25 and their families. ‘Headspace’ offers numerous services including access to psychologists, face to face support, sexual health and drug and alcohol advice. ‘Headspace’ helps young people deal with the changes and challenges life throws up while providing tools to live a positive and meaningful life.
Support for The Ludlites will be passed on to Headspace.
