Michael Reid Sydney will be exhibiting a solo exhibition of Christian Thompson’s new work throughout May in their new large warehouse space in Standard House on Kippax Street, Surry Hills.
Christian Thompson has firmly established himself as one of Australia’s most significant contemporary artists, and one of the very few with a serious international profile. Thompson’s enigmatic approach to issues of race, culture, sexuality and history have allowed his work to transcend national interest; resonating with a global audience. The magnetic appeal of his images enticing art collectors and museum curators alike.
