Tim Rudman combined his two loves of medicine and photography for many years, but he now devotes his time to photography. He is internationally renowned as a photographer, printer, author and an authority on darkroom printing and toning techniques. He has exhibited in over 50 countries and has taught in Britain, Ireland, Spain, Australia, Canada and America. He is the author of 4 books on lith printing and toning and is held in collections world wide. This exhibition on ‘Iceland – An uneasy calm’ is a collections of photographs depicting its volcanic history as Iceland is built entirely of volcanic rocks – basalt, rhyloites and andesites. Icelanders know that the recent eruption of Eyjafjallajokull might be overshadowed by a more active and much larger neighbour Katia. Meyer Gallery is honoured to show this new collection of work for the first time. Tim Rudman will be in Sydney for the opening of this exhibition, an exquisite body of work.
