‘Head in the Clouds, Glimpse of an Artist’ is a collaboration between 5 photographers to produce diverse and creative portraits of Blue Mountains based artists. The main street of Katoomba will be brought to life, lined with huge portraits printed on street banners.
The Blue Mountains are defined by the seasons and the elements, which inspire, and impact the many artists living there. The outdoor portrait exhibition will be supported by a pop-up gallery in the foyer of the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre showing prints of the works, for visitors to view and connect with in a more intimate way.
The 5 diverse styles of photography are bound to create an intriguing walk up Katoomba Street. Curating the exhibition, Project Director Ann Niddrie, selected photographers whose approaches to their subjects are sensitive and intuitive, drawing out the unique personality of the subject.
