Gods in the City explores the visual and tangible presence that mythical characters and stories have in modern urban life. It depicts how ancient gods, characters from folk tales, and other cultural heroes function in our everyday life. My photographs pay homage to our grounding in primaeval stories and our connection to a mythical collective past. I photograph ordinary streets, but my images reveal the multiplicity of meanings embedded in our visible reality.
