ASCA’s photographic competition themed ‘Untangle the knot’ is an annual event, designed to raise awareness about the organization and its work with Adults Surviving Child Abuse. This year the first prize is $2000 in cash. Innovation and creativity are key elements for all entrants. The judges are Mark Tedeschi Q.C. (renowned photographer) and Alan Davies (NSW State Library).
The 20 finalists’ work will be hung and for sale in the Frances Keevil Gallery from Thursday June 9 to Saturday June 11. The winner and runners up, including a people’s choice will be announced and the first prize cheque presented at the opening at the gallery on June 9 commencing at 6 pm. The event is expected to feature a number of high profile guests from the art world, politics and the community. An entrance fee of $20 to the opening will be charged by way of donation to ASCA.
